I tried this wine for the frist time a few weeks ago at a very good restaurant in Ithaca NY. I was unable to decide between two wines on the list and after asking the sommelier he said "no contest....the One Point Five." I was very glad I did. This is a beautiful wine; delicious cherry, cassis and other dark fruits. After opening the One Point Five's earth tones, new leather and smoke start to show through. Don't know how well this wine will cellar as it is drinking so well at this young age. Very accessable, beautiful grape. I immediately went out and bought a case of this stuff. Never had the Hillside Select but that is now high up on my list as a "must try someday". This is one of those times when I am am glad I did not go with the critics as WE rates this wine an 89. Try it and judge it for yourself.
