Seven Hills Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2005

2005 was a moderate vintage producing expressively lush wines. Reliable September weather led to a long ripening period. As with all of Seven Hills' wines the grapes were hand-picked; harvest weather was perfect.

A medium-bodied red of rich color. By nose and mouth it shows black currant and wild berries, sweet spices, white pepper, vanillin , and plum overtones. The diverse vineyard sites show in a pleasing range of flavors and accessible structure.

Polished, gentle tannins and a slight brightness make this an ideal mealtime choice. This Cabernet will benefit from medium-term cellaring.
