I was stationed aboard a navy ship in LaMaddalena, Sardinia, Italy for 2 years and you can find almost nothing but Sardinian wines there, which is a good thing! Sardinian wines for the price are the best wines I have ever had the pleasure to taste. Sella y Mosca is the predominant winery on the island and makes the best wines there. You can never go wrong with a Sella y Mosca wine. I returned from Sardinia with over 200 bottles. Many I gave as gifts to people who had never had a Sardinian wine, let alone an Italian wine. Not a single person has not liked them. In Sardinia a bottle wil run you 5-7 Euro, thats onlyabout 6 bucks for the best wine you can drink. Wine.com should offer many more Sardinian wines!

Served cold, the La Cala vermentino from Sella and Mosca is clean, crisp and a thoroughly enjoyable white table wine. My wife and I have been sipping it for several years and have found the 2004 among the best.
