Color: Rich red
Bouquet: Intense with scents of violet
Taste: Well-rounded and supple with rich, ripe, plummy flavors
If your looking for a good buy on a reasonably priced red wine, buy this one. The quality is there and is smooth, whether alone or with food.
This is one of the more exciting reds I've come across recently. The cannonau is incredibly tasty, full mouth, fruity with nice spice overtures.
We lived on a Naval base in Sardinia for 3 years and Sella e Mosca was, hands down, our favorite winery in the region.
i liked it when i first got it, and have a couple bottles at home in the "cellar." a really nice red from italy, enjoy it with food or on its own. light-medium bodied, and aromatic, not too big on the fruit. easy drinking.
I was looking for a regular wine. Something around $15 but still interesting, and with enough heft to stand up to winter dishes. A group of us tried 5 over the course of a dinner and the Cannonau won. Many of the competitors were bland. The Cannonau had a depth and unorthodox richness and complexity that met our needs perfectly and it won the day. I have since bought a case and I recommend it.
love the color, light to medium body, smooth, plummy and flowery with a hint of spiceness and sweet finish
I first learned about Cannonau on the Dr Oz Show. They talked about how people who drink this delicious red wine in Sardinia live until the age of 95 to 100. I love its subtle flavors and it is loaded with anti-oxidants that is great for your heart!
Tasted thin, never really developed any true flavor and tannic appeal was gone by day 3
