Seghesio Costiera Pinot Noir 2009

Exhibiting trademark qualities highly sought in Pinot Noir, Costiera has the telltale aromas of dark cherries mingled with an earthy complexity, which, at this writing is showing under the guise of fresh mushrooms and fresh vineyard soil. A silky entry leads to mouth-filling flavors of ripe cherry compote or cherry butter. The texture in the mid-palate could be visualized as a cat's eye marble with the acidity, tannins and fruit/savory flavors ever-present and seamlessly intertwined.
