Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs 1997

The 1997 Blanc de Blancs is showing wonderful aromas of roasted almonds and toast that compliment brighter notes of pineapple, citrus, and green apple. The crisp, fresh fruit aromas are balanced by the more mature nuances that have developed during the barrel and yeast aging. The flavors are deliciously tart and creamy, offering richness and dimension while retaining the finesse and delicacy one expects from a Chardonnay-based cuvee. This wine should age beautifully for at least ten to fifteen more years.
