We are proud to present our portfolio of 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon wines
from two of Napa Valley's most prestigious and historic vineyard estates—the
Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville and the Beckstoffer Georges III
Vineyard in Rutherford. With both outstanding locations, we combine
meticulous vineyard management with "no holds barred" winemaking practices
to produce elegant wines of exceptional depth, richness, and character that we
feel are the highest and most authentic expression of these noble vineyards.

"The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon RBS, which, for the technocrats, is clone 337, exhibits a dense ruby/purple color as well as a terrific nose of creme de cassis, espresso roast, pain grille, and licorice. A dark purple-hued, full-bodied, opulent wine with excellent length and richness, it should drink well for 15-20 years.

"Good deep ruby. Vibrant aromas of crushed blackberry, bitter chocolate and violet. Quite suave on entry, then chewy and juicy in the middle, with strong acidity giving the wine sharp definition. Less obviously sweet than the 2004; in fact, this is distinctly firmer in texture and evolving slowly. Finishes with a note of dark chocolate. This will be entirely from Clone 337, which needs long hang time on the vines.
