Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.
Ratings Pedigree:

Winemaker's Notes

A brisk, electric white, with peach, ripe apple and mineral flavors vibrating off the laserlike structure.

Critical Acclaim

"Slate and lemon candy aromas are followed by an apple flavor in this straightforward white, which tails off a little on the finish. Drink now through 2012. 4,000 cases made."

We lived near the Bernkastel region for three years in the 1980s, and our first son was born there, so German wines are special for us. This one was excellent, with a sweet first taste that mellowed out thereafter. Highly recommend this Mosel wine.
