  Totally Undrinkable - 6/14/2009
I would not buy this wine again
This is one of the worst wines EVER. Bitter, no complexity, no depth, acidic, and leaves a horrible after taste. Totally undrinkable. Most of the 2-buck chucks are significantly better, even the bad ones.

Good Wine Good Price - 9/26/2008
I would buy this wine again
Flavorful but light weight Cab. Goes well with almost everything and you can't beat the price. Bought a case to use as the "house red" for this month.

I would not buy this wine again
Can't beat the price but wine was only so-so. Doesn't seem to deserve the W&S 89 rating. Unbalanced.

We bought one bottle and then came back for a case. Very balanced, very smooth, goes well with anything. A very easy cabernet to drink.

Dissapointing Alcoholic Chilean Cab Sav - 4/25/2008

I would not buy this wine again
The Santa Rita 120 Cab Sav was given an 89 ranking from W&S, so I expected something better. I felt the price was unbelievable for a ranked wine and it was a bit too good to be true. This wine has yet to balance out which throws its flavors all over the shot. The first thing I tasted after a sip was a strong alchoholic kick and then some cherry, clove and vanilla from the oak. The smell was also very berry-like and sadly, also a bit alchoholic. If you store this wine for 2-3 years it should balance out ok, but it will never be a great wine. For the price you cannot really go wrong.

Not just very good for its price, but very good. - 4/3/2008

I would buy this wine again
Its aroma is so beautiful, the opposite of earthy, light and airy, almost like flowers. It has a slightly dry, tart taste, and it's gentle enough to be matched with cornish hen, which I've heard it's not the traditional way. It worked really well regardless. I thought it was light bodied, one of my friends argued it was medium bodied. Clearly we're not experts, but we were all very impressed. I usually bring this along as my host gift.

Kosher
A Kosher wine begins like every other - as grapes on a vine. Once they reach the winery for crushing, the wine is under strict rabbinal supervision.
Screw Cap wine
Screw Cap
Many studies report and winemakers agree that screw caps protect wine better and preserve its flavor more effectively than cork. More importantly, screw caps eliminate cork taint caused by TCA, a compound which develops in a small percentage of corks and ruins the taste of wine.
