The Santa Rita 120 Cab Sav was given an 89 ranking from W&S, so I expected something better. I felt the price was unbelievable for a ranked wine and it was a bit too good to be true. This wine has yet to balance out which throws its flavors all over the shot. The first thing I tasted after a sip was a strong alchoholic kick and then some cherry, clove and vanilla from the oak. The smell was also very berry-like and sadly, also a bit alchoholic. If you store this wine for 2-3 years it should balance out ok, but it will never be a great wine. For the price you cannot really go wrong.
