Its crisp, elegant character makes it versatile for a wide array of cuisines. The Alto Adige Pinot Grigio was harvested during the first two weeks of September 2008. After the early harvests of 2006 and 2007, optimal weather conditions brought the 2008 harvest back to the standard time. Above average winter temperatures and heavy rains in the spring led to excellent conditions during the entire growing season, producing grapes with perfect ripeness. The Santa Margherita 2008 Pinot Grigio presents a slightly higher level of malic acid, resulting in a fresher and crispier wine.
