I was quite happy when I came across the Santa Margherita 2006 Pinot Grigio, in a little Wine & spirits shop,in Queens, for what seemed to be an amazing price.
I'd never tried the 2006, but I'd shared a few bottles of the Santa Margherita 2005 Pinot Grigio.
I did not care for the 2006, at all. I drank it about two months ago, so I can't give a more descriptive reason why. I recall being disappointed in the wine. The 2005 was far smoother, more drinkable, and certainly more interesting to the palate (mine, at least).
