In 1999 we enjoyed a temperate summer, which provided a long growing season and a small crop. The 1999 Santa Barbara Chardonnay reflects this with elegant and graceful aromas of green apples, apricot, lemon and citrus blossoms. On the palate the wine tastes of citrus fruits and has a mineral note uplifted by lively, soft acidity. The overall impression is clear, clean fruit flavor. This wine should prove very versatile with a wide range of seafood and poultry dishes.
