"Full medium ruby. Spicy crushed blueberry and blackberry aromas show an almost liqueur-like ripeness and are lifted by a subtle floral component. Very dense but firmly built and tight; more backward than the Vau Vintage but this has urgent fruit and lovely inner-mouth aromas. Harder to taste at the outset but ultimately denser and longer than the Vau Vintage, with a slow-building finish offering subtly perfumed black fruit character."

"Very good Sandeman. Aromas of stewed fruit, with fresh herbs. Full-bodied, with big, velvety tannins and a long, sweet fruit finish. Well-done. Best after 2010. 7,950 cases made."
"The 2000 Vintage Porto's color possesses less density than many of its peers. The nose offers up aromas of sweet red and black fruits, licorice, and heat. Lighter in the mouth than the finest 2000s, this medium to full-bodied, well-made but unexciting, soft, forward offering is best consumed between 2006-2015.
