This is a decent sparkler from an under-appreciated region. Not much happening on the nose, vaguely fruity but very weak. The palate is fairly weak- mostly apples and honey, with a short finish. I have a self-admitted fondness towards bubbles that leads me to not be as critical on them as other wines, but this is a thoroughly average effort on all respects. Definitely not a banner year for Limoux, which can be so much more than this 2007 is. That all said, it still compares favourably to some of the lower NV Champagnes at half the price, though there are Cavas out there that blow this year away for a few bucks less. All things considered, give this a pass. 84 points.
