Harvest: Only the best grapes, selected during the manual harvest, are used for the production of "Greppone Mazzi" Brunello di Montalcino. The 2001 vintage is one of the very best in the history of Greppone Mazzi. The weather pattern throughout the summer favoured the formation of healthy, completely ripe grapes with an impressive phenolic structure and lots of chewy fruit.
The Brunello di Montalcino Greppone Mazzi 2001 is characterised by a massive structure, sweet tannins and a living, fruity heart. The taste displays an enviable balance between fruit and acidity and has particularly elegant structure. The aftertaste is generous, with sweet fruity notes and subtle hints of walnuts and dark chocolate.
