Blend: 90% Sangiovese, 10% other varieties admitted by Chianti code production

Color: Ruby red

Aroma: As always, this Chianti features a deliciously vinous bouquet, where the floral and fruity notes lead toward a finish of slightly spicy scents of white pepper and hazelnuts.

Tasting profile: Medium-bodied, Chianti Ruffino is pleasantly fruity, harmonious and persistent.

This is a young Sangiovese which is a perfect match for a wide variety of traditional Italian dishes.

This is my first Chianti. But it was not as good as I expected. But for the price it was actually worth it. It had a very sweet fruity nose and first taste while the palate slowly faded to a bitter end. If it would have a smooth finish I would have loved to rate this wine better and even bought it again, but for me this is it. I will look for other Chiantis :)
