Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Bright yellow with golden reflections. Mature notes of custard cream and white chocolate mingling with notes of candied fruit and enriched with well-developed hints of toasted hazelnut and dried fruit from ageing on its lees. Ample, rich, dry but smooth, with a pleasantly soft finish and an extremely fine perlage that lingers elegantly.

Ideal as an aperitif and recommended with fish and seafood dishes.

Critical Acclaim

"A celebrated vintage from an estate that consistently delivers quality at attractive prices, this Riserva sparkling wine is packed with Golden Delicious apple, vanilla cream, apricot and toasted nut. There’s a sassy touch of clove on the close."
