winemaker's notes:
The 1998 Shiraz has a dark ruby appearance with a deep purple edge. The aroma is vibrant and lively with an excellent varietal definition of warm spices, brambles and dark plums. The palate is dominated by well defined, ripe fruit, a soft, generous mid-palate and a long, rich finish. This is supported by fine-grained tannins and a delicious underlay of toasty American oak. The wine drinks well now and will reward 6 to 8 years of further bottle maturation.

It seems all who try this wine
become fans. I add myself to
the list! This wine is
delightfully crisp and fruity,
yet complex enough to satisfy
thoroughly. I too was very
surprised at the value for the
money. Another please!

Exactly as respresented! Beautiful deep color, fruity taste-very impressive. My guests never "guessed" the price but they were familiar with the vineyard!

Nice Shiraz for the money...especially at case price. I liked the intense deep purple color of this wine much like a petite syrah and the smoky berry flavor. I fear there may not be much left.
