A classic, collectable Syrah - one of the best red wines to make it over here from Australia. Made from grapes grown on 50-100 year old vineyards, this McLaren Vale classic is matured nearly two years in new American oak prior to bottling. The richly textured fruit and deep, velvety tannins interweave beautifully into a long, harmonious finish. 15 years plus cellaring potential.

Wow! This is a huge wine, with massive chocolate, ripe cherry and black currant flavors. If you want to impress your friends, or if you simply want a glass of intense, rich wine to go with your steak, this is the wine for you!

We did a vertical tasting with the 1998 Balmoral Syrah vs. the 1999. We felt the '98 was a bit better, althought the '99 certainly is a fabulous wine. Very plummy, deep, great body, simply an outstanding choice for any special occasion. This is our favorite wine!!
