Aromas of earth, clove, sweet pipe tobacco and dark cherries express the character drawn from the seasoned vines along the Russian River in both the Alexander and Russian River valleys. A cedar and sandelwood aroma from ten months in American oak barrels is a delightful match with flavors that are earthen and smoky with overtones of sweet blackberry and strawberry fruit. This wine produced from 100% Zinfandel has classic old vine character carried through in a full-bodied wine with a long lingering finish.
