For the price, this Shiraz really can't be beat. This wine maker's vintages appear to sell out rather quickly so, get it while it lasts. To begin, this Shiraz has the typical appearance of it's varietal. The nose is very rich with oak, ripe fruit, vanilla and soft spices. The pallet starts with oak and fruit followed by mellow tannins. The finish is long and smooth with hints of black cherry, licorice and nutmeg. This shiraz is worth every inch of it's 93 point rating. However, I would go one higher and say it's a solid 94, maybe 95.
