Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Separate parcels were harvested at various maturity stages to produce a mix of interesting flavors. The early harvest captures the crisp zesty core of the wine whilst a slightly later harvest builds an element of tropical fruit flavors. The use of selected aromatic yeasts and cool fermentation temperatures have produced a vibrant and refreshing wine.

Critical Acclaim

"A polished and lively white, offering a pretty mouthful of peach and lime flavors, with aromas of privet, that linger on the crisp finish. Drink now. 2,000 cases imported."
89 Points

"Oatley has sourced the fruit for this wine from way out in Western Australia thousands of miles from his home base, but the results show why it was worth it. The aromas and flavors seamlessly marry fig, melon and pink grapefruit notes, while the wine is mouthfilling and lush without being overweight. Drink it over the next 6–12 months.
Editor's Choice"
89 Points

" Light straw. Classic sauvignon blanc aromas of green apple, lemongrass and pungent herbs. Then open-knit and soft for the variety, offering melon and white peach flavors braced by a bitter lemon zest quality. Extremely easy to drink sauvignon with good finishing cling and lingering bitterness."
