Harvested at night and treated like we would make an aromatic white, the sangiovese grapes are kept cool and the juice immediately crushed off the skins to give the vibrant yet pale color. It has been deliberately made at the drier end of the rosé spectrum.
The 2010 growing season came off a reasonably cold and dry winter, with rain later in the season that freshened the canopies and led to intensely flavoured grapes.
