Robert Mondavi Reserve Fume Blanc 2000

Our Fume Blanc Reserve captures the tropical fruit, Meyer lemon, exotic spice and pear blossom scents of grapes grown in our To Kalon Estate Vineyard. The vibrant fruit and floral expression has complex nuances of minerals, anise and chamomile. This vintage celebrates three exceptional blocks of this historic vineyard on the Oakville Bench. The well-drained alluvial soils allow deep rooting and the development of complex flavors in the grapes. A delicate nutty, oak spice character from new French barrels lingers on the finish. Our Reserve is entirely barrel-fermented and hand stirred during sur lie barrel aging, resulting in beautiful balance of crispness and an opulent texture.
