Robert Mondavi Private Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 2000
Cabernet Sauvignon
from North Coast, California
winemaker's notes:
Our premiere release of Robert Mondavi Private Selection 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon showcases outstanding grapes from California's North Coast appellation. The wine's rich aromas and velvety flavors brim with blackberries, currants and spices. Subtle nuances of spicy oak, from aging in French oak barrels, weave through the lingering finish.
To achieve the wine's soft, approachable character, we selected over half of the grapes from Lake County, with the balance from neighboring Napa and Mendocino counties. One of the longest harvests of the decade, the 2000 vintage gave the grapes vibrant flavors and supple, mature tannins.
Our Robert Mondavi Private Selection wines are a great choice for all occasions, from a candlelight dinner to a barbecue. Enjoy this North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon with your favorite entrees -- it is especially delicious with grilled or roasted meats, hearty soups, stews, pasta dishes or wood-fired pizzas.

Nice medium body cabernet. Believe this one will age well. Recommend for the wine lovers looking for a little lighter cabernet.

Nice touch of spicy oak. Went well with hickory smoked and grilled ribeye steaks.
