Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

2010 Ritual Sauvignon Blanc is an elegant and balanced wine with ripe tropical fruit flavors complexed with floral notes and hints of citrus fruit. This medium-bodied wine is fresh and luscious with a persistent finish.

Critical Acclaim

"Selected from estate vineyards with fifteen years of age, this sauvignon ripened to irresistible depths of flavor in 2010, its notes of white pepper mingling with citrus. A Sauvignon Blanc to drink with oysters."
