This Chianti Rufina Riserva is a terrific value from an excellent vintage. It is a blend of 93% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo and 2% Colorino. Renzo Masi Chianti Rufina is a deep ruby/garnet in color, with medium body and moderate acidity--mellow for Chianti. It offers plums and berries on the nose and flavors of plums, black currants, blackberries and spice, with no oak. The wine is full and round with soft tannins and a long, fruity, peppery finish.
