winemaker's notes:

A blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc.

With deep ruby color, this Cabernet opens with inviting aromas of cherry, blackberry, raspberry, currant and hints of cedar and cocoa. Concentrated flavors of boysenberry, raspberry, red cherry and currant followed by notes of black pepper and vanilla in the long, smooth finish. A rich, full mouth feel with nicely balanced tannins and structure.

This wine pairs well with grilled rib eye or pork chops, steak tartare, chorizo and seafood paella, wild mushroom and scallop risotto, smoked duck sausage over polenta, garlic marinated prime rib, braised lamb shanks, pork or beef barbequed ribs and hearty pasta dishes such as baked rigatoni.

While delicious at an early age, this wine has the potential to be cellared for 10-15 years past the vintage date.

critical acclaim:

"A beautiful Cabernet. Pretty tannic now, so if you drink, decant, and have it with rich, oily meats and cheeses. But the heart of black cherries, and cassis, and the overall balance, enable this wine to develop over the next 6-8 years."

Kosher wine
Kosher
A Kosher wine begins like every other - as grapes on a vine. Once they reach the winery for crushing, the wine is under strict rabbinal supervision.
Screw Cap wine
Screw Cap
Many studies report and winemakers agree that screw caps protect wine better and preserve its flavor more effectively than cork. More importantly, screw caps eliminate cork taint caused by TCA, a compound which develops in a small percentage of corks and ruins the taste of wine.
Green wine
Green Wines
Wines that use sustainable, organic and/or biodynamic practices in the vineyard and/or winemaking process. We rely on a number of U.S. and International certifications to qualify wines "green."
