Ravenswood Winery has been making Zinfandel from Sonoma County fruit for over 30 years. Zinfandel is a unique variety with a storied history in California, and the 2007 Sonoma County Old Vine Zinfandel is a classic representation of the region's best Zins. Ripe berry fruit in the nose follows concentrated flavors of blackberry and black cherry. A varietally focused Zinfandel with a touch of cinnamon and vanilla in the finish, this wine offers layers of flavor, a succulent center, balanced acids and structural tannins. This wine is great with hearty meat dishes and vegetable stews; drink now or in the next five to seven years.

Broad, fleshy dark berry and cherry flavors show liqueur-like depth and are framed by velvety tannins. Gains sweetness with air and finishes with a powerful echo of dark berries.
