Winemaker's Notes

The Russian River Chardonnay receives less new oak and less time in barrel than the single-vineyard wines, but otherwise are made identically to them to make this a classic Chardonnay that shows the characteristics of its region.

Critical Acclaim

"A rich, enveloping wine the 2010 Chardonnay Russian River Valley caresses the palate with layers of bright, focused fruit. This is an especially saline, intense vintage of the Russian River bottling. Crushed rocks, lime and white flowers flow through to the finish."
92 Points

"Bright yellow. Deeply pitched aromas and flavors of poached pear, peach nectar and mace, with a floral overtone. Broad and fleshy, showing very good depth and power. Finishes smooth and long, with lingering spiciness and persistent mineral and floral notes."
