Something apart from the leaner style anticipated from its cool Russian River origins, this rich, wonderfully expressive Cabernet is simply loaded with plush, well-ripened varietal fruit and is given even more breadth from its abundant oaky sweetness. Dense, but never coarse or heavy footed, the wine is long and supple on the palate with fine-grained tannins providing just a bit of grip. Tasty now with richer beef recipies, it deserves a half-dozen years of cellaring to show its very besy.
