The Wine Advocate

"A bargain among Down Under fortifieds, Buller's Victorian blended Tokay features wonderfully complex notes of tea, spice and citrus atop lush caramel-like sweetness. It's silky and balanced, with a long citrusy finish. "

Wine Enthusiast

"Buller's moderately priced Tokay offers a range of delicious flavors, a whole dessert in a glass. Unctuously sweet, rich in texture and long, playing out its creme brulee, orange peel and evanescent remnants of cherry fruit as the wine coats the mouth luxuriantly. Drink now."

91 Points

Wine Spectator

"Medium amber. Spicy aromas of raspberry, orange zest and toffee. Tangy and sharply focused, with sweet red fruit and quince paste flavors leavened by a jolt of zesty acidity. This sweet but lively wine finishes with good cut and a refreshingly bitter note of orange pith. "

Cough syrup. I love good Port and a good Tokay - but this is neither. It is, in the curious (and I think unfair) Australian usage, a Liqueur Tokay a barbarous pseudo-port of the Muscadelle. It is no Bastardinha. Australia owes me $20, as this stuff was undrinkable. I poured it down the drain.

While too sweet to have more than a tipple, this is a luscious dessert wine. Really fruity and delicious!
