I'm sorry but I will not join the bandwagon as concerned this rather syrupy single note sticky. Please, don't get me wrong. I am a great lover of port, Madeira, and a variety of other sweet and or fortified wines. I simply think that this is a poor example. It is terribly heavy, and is overwhelmed by an almost molasses like character. I think it interesting to note that Wine Enthusiast describes the wine as full-bodied with darker hints of dates and molasses, while Wine Spectator describes it as bright and sweet. Well, I can at least agree with the molasses comment.
