Sweet-fruited vibrant nose of fragrant violets, plums, cherry and musk. The palate has rich blackberry, raspberry, licorice and tar. Finishes with a creamy, vanillin oak and slightly smoky character.

I would not buy this wine again
First try was not terribly impressive. A little thin and not up to par to examples from Washington State, California and So. France. A disappointment.

Enjoyed this with penne and vegatable marinara... Went surprising well with the spinach salad w/ goat cheese and walnuts...
