Winemaker's Notes

This is a classic "vintage character" port, aged for between four and five years in wood before bottling. It is blended from a number of vintages to give consistent characteristics of rich fruit, fine bouquet and a delicate palate.

Ports are high in alcohol. Full variety in bouquet and on palate. Good aftertaste. Satisfying texture. In an ultimate test, the leftovers were even delicious considerably below room temperature. A real value.

I had high hopes for this value vintage port and was extremely disappointed. Overpowering in alcohol and tough to drink.
