winemaker's notes:
A rich, massive wine with smooth, supple tannins and dense, multi-layered flavors. Primus is comprised of Carmenere, widely planted in Bordeaux in the 1800s, but now found only in Chile. This ususual cousin of Merlot produces wines of deep, exotic flavors and great aging potential.

Not so much. Tasted peppery. The 2004 Primus is much better.
A Customer - chile
smooth, exotic and very well crafted.
Reliable over the years.

This has become my go-to red wine, comparing favorable to many wines at 3X or 4X this price.
