winemaker's notes:
A rich, massive wine with smooth, supple tannins and dense, multi-layered flavors. Primus is comprised of Carmenere, widely planted in Bordeaux in the 1800s, but now found only in Chile. This ususual cousin of Merlot produces wines of deep, exotic flavors and great aging potential.

Excellent depth in this Cabernet.
Flavor lingers with a very soft mellow finish. Shoulders above many California wines and a much better bargain than anything from France.

A rather unique wine. Good mouthfeel and "weight". Bursting with "sweet" fruit upfront, followed by toasty spice and a distinct but pleasing earthiness through the finish.
A Customer - Studio City, CA
This is an exceptional wine. It is a real bargain. We had it for the first time tonight and found it to be very smooth and complex. Traits of both Cab and Merlot. A truly enjoyable blend . Great with the pork ribs we had this evening.
