Alcohol By Volume Guide
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.
Intense, with good persistence and extremely fine. Floral, fresh sensations, with apple and pear, mising well with mineral clearness and herbs. Notes of sage are evident, as well.
" Very pale straw-green. Subtle, complex aromas of citrus peel, white peach, talcum powder, mint and fresh white flowers. Stone fruit flavors are bright and tactile, with a slight impression of residual sweetness leavened by vibrant acidity and a hint of unresolved carbon dioxide. Tasty and complex wine with very good lift on the firm aftertaste. Always an entry-level Soave of amazing quality, but this vintage seems less exceptional than usual for Pr a , one of the top producers of Soave."
International Wine Cellar
"Bright and juicy, this lively white offers a subtle weave of white peach, quince, melon and star fruit. Balanced, with hints of anise and almond running through the wine and lingering on the finish."
