Fruit for this wine was sourced predominantly from the Great Southern (40%), with 20% coming from each of the Pemberton, Blackwood and Geographe regions in the south west of Western Australia. Vines are predominantly vertically trained, irrigated to maintain healthy canopies, growing on predominantly well drained loam soils.
Lifted grassy and gooseberry notes with pronounced citrus blossom, lemon rind overtones. Fragrant, clean and inviting. A supple juicy mid palate, delicious racy lemon and grapefruit flavors with a minerally counterpoint. Lovely balance, harmonious and round but finishing with crisp clean finish and lovely long flavors. Drink now to enjoy its freshness.

The first vines were planted in 1968 at "Bouverie" Denbarker. These consisted of 4 1/2 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. Plantagenet Wines now has boosted the total acreage to 100, including Malbec, Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. New South Wales- New South Wales has a variety of smaller wine growing regions. Many wines are a blend of these smaller appellations, leading to the more encompassing designation of New South Wales.
Western Australia– A small percentage of Australia’s winemaking occurs on the West Coast. The largest Australian state, Western Australia, includes the appellations Margaret River and Great Southern.
Southeastern Australia– This appellation encompasses the states of South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria. Grapes are often trucked in from at least 2 of these states for crushing and bottling, giving the wine a more general appellation of origin. This is the broadest appellation in Australia.
