This wine is powerful and structured, rich in ripe fruit, opulent, spicy and will have a very long life. It is produced in small quantities and only in excellent vintages. We believe that, as a whole, the 2006 has great minerality, freshness and typical Nebbiolo expression, and is lush, great, warm, fruity and jammy. It is a very, very good example of Nebbiolo.
"Full red. Reticent aromas of currant, wild plum and tobacco are more deeply pitched than those of the classico Sweet, dense and backward, with a Barolo-like fullness and structure and deep earth tones. Finishes with a camphor quality and powerful tannins that coat the front teeth. Tough going today, but of course all of these 2006s are still in barrel. 90-92 points."
