We offer two ways to locate information:
This vintage combines the fruity floral signature of Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc and the delicacy of a Viognier bouquet. The unique blend layers a small percentage of Chenin Blanc and Viognier, wines that are malolactic and puncheon fermented, with cold-tank fermented Chenin Blanc. The Viognier fruit was harvested in mid September from our estate vineyards in Carneros and Rutherford appellations. Chenin Blanc is sourced, not only from our vineyards in Napa, but the moderate delta region of Clarksburg by Wilson Vineyards. A portion of the juice was transferred to French oak puncheons for barrel and malolactic fermentation, while the balance of the wine was cold fermented in tanks at 45 degrees Fahrenheit to enhance the production of fruity, floral aromas. The final blend of 86% Chenin Blanc and 14% Viognier was bottled in January 2000. TASTING NOTES: Tropical fruit notes in this balanced blend amidst flavors of grapefruit, melon, and spice tumble broadly on the palate. A delightfully crisp finish makes this wine ready to enjoy now or cellar for two years. The vintage produced 11,000 cases.
