The inherent quality of the Pewsey Vale vineyard is a reflection of the altitude and the low, grey sandy loam soils. This will be remembered as a text book vintage for white wine in the Eden Valley. After a windy flowering period, naturally low crops were set. Weather remained mild and dry over a long and even ripening period, with the lowest January temperatures on record experienced. This resulted in healthy vines that produced grapes with high natural acid, concentrated flavour and excellent quality.
Pewsey Vale Riesling is pale straw in colour with lively green hues.
The aroma is classic Eden Valley Riesling - intense limes and lemon zest

The site was later purchased by well known grazier Geoff Angas-Parsons whom in 1961 invited his friend Wyndham Hill Smith to jointly develop the historic vineyard site. They believed the site could produce delicate Rieslings in the Germanic style.
