winemaker's notes:

The color shows a dark center with a garnet rim. The nose displays a lovely raspberry and pastille lift with a palate of red berry, dark plums and chocolate. Blending the three varietals gives Clancy's great complexity, richness of fruit flavor and a harmonious balance of soft tannin finish.

Blend: 39% Shiraz, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot

High quality at this price point. Big, rich, and juicy to the nose after a swirl. Fruitful flavors of raspberry and plum with a hint of pepper and spice on an unparalleled and mesmerizingly smooth finish. Didn't notice any hints of chocolate as I've read others mentions, but it wasn't missed. Paired this very well with a blackened pepper pan seared ahi tuna. Complimented the dish divinely.

Wine was tight when we first opened but then decanted and let it sit for 30 minutes and opened up beautifully. Nice fruit and big finish....as you'd expect from such a blend. Could easily cellar for 5-7 years.
