Peter Lehmann Cabernet Sauvignon 2002
Cabernet Sauvignon
from Barossa Valley, Australia
winemaker's notes:
Number 83 on the Wine.com 100 of 2007!
The 2002 Vintage produced great Cabernet Sauvignon. This amazing vintage, when the Barossa experienced the coolest summer on record, meant that ripening conditions were perfect for this noble red wine variety. An intensely coloured wine simply oozing ripe black currants, it has a richly textured palate, superb length and beautifully balanced fine tannins.

Great taste with smooth passage

Truly loved it. It's well balanced, smooth and a nice lingering fruity taste. Not too peppery. I tried it based on the reviews, but I'll definitely continue buying it. Above all, awesome price. I liked it more than some $50 - $60 cabs.

I purchased a glass of this in a local restaurent. This is very good for being only 4 yrs old. It paired nicely with pizza. Its finish is as it is written. However, with further cellaring, this wine will continue to improve especially with its already very pleasent finish.
In short, this is a very good "young" cab.
