Winemaker's Notes

A deep red color. This wine has wide range of aromas such as kirsch, lavender, pepper and other spices. On the palate there is a well-rounded combination of fruit and supple tannins, and good length.

Critical Acclaim

"Vivid ruby. Heady aromas of Asian spices, red berries and garrigue, along with a hint of white pepper. Fresh, precise and sappy, offering sweet red fruit compote flavors and showing very good energy. Finishes with excellent clarity and lingering spiciness. I like this wine's vivacity. Range: 90-92"
92 Points

"I actually liked it better than the 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Sinards, which is very good, but shows more tannin as well as a certain dryness in the finish. It offers lots of garrigue and kirsch intertwined with hints of bay leaf and unsmoked cigar tobacco in an elegant, medium to full-bodied, well-made style. It should drink well for 10+ years. "
