winemaker's notes:

Colour: Deep crimson red with a vibrant purple rim.

Bouquet: Forward aromas of rich plum and blackberry fruit with hints of licorice and enticing eucalyptus. Further inspection reveals cherry/chocolate and notes of black olive and rhubarb.

Palate: Fleshy small berry and plum fruit flavors are harmoniously backed by savory secondary notes. A seamless, sculptured mouthfeel leads to the warm and lingering finish. Fine fruit tannins combine with well-integrated oak to enhance the generous fruit flavors.

critical acclaim:

"Deep garnet in color with a touch of brick, the 2002 Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet has a meaty / earthy nose with a slight dried herb character plus nuances of black pepper, duck breast and black olives. Medium-bodied, the palate offers a good concentration of mature fruit, crisp acid and a medium to firm level of fine tannins, finishing long. Drinking now, it should keep to 2020+. "

A Customer - Illinois
I always keep 5 or 6 bottles of this around - it is probably the most consistently perfect red I have ever had. I routinely buy every bottle on the shelf at my local liquor store. Much much better than wines going for $8 and $30. Wine lovers will agree.
A Customer - Orlando, Florida
First tried this wine at the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival at Disney World in October 2004, then again in a Vegas steakhouse last weekend. Both times I was pleased with the overall appeal of this wine. It has an unusual yet appealing finish. A very "quaffable" wine at a decent price.
A Customer - Norwich, Ontario
We were introduced to this wine in Collingwood on Wednesday, August 4th to Friday, August 6th and it is the best wine I have ever had. The texture as it goes down your throat is so smooth. There is no lingering strong bite, just a very satisfying taste.
