A textbook Cabernet Sauvignon, the varietally expressive Bin 407 highlights the rewards of Penfolds' multi-region, multi-vineyard blending, with a core of ripe fruit supported by a sensitive use of French and American oak.
Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon is a fresh, elegant style with clear varietal black currant/cassis aromas, fine grained firm tannins
and underlying cedary/savory oak. The deep color, sheen, richness and buoyancy of the wine suggest this could be one of the very
best of this series.
"Deep ruby with a bright rim. Seductive, perfumed aromas of dark berries, mocha and pungent flowers and herbs. Spicy, deeply pitched blackcurrant and bitter cherry flavors are lifted by tangy minerals and take on a smoky nuance with air. Finishes with gentle grip and very good persistence, leaving a bitter chocolate quality behind. This bottling has a fine track record for aging. "

"This elegant red has a beguiling purity to its currant, plum and cedar flavors, hinting at mint and bay leaf as the finish persists against finely polished tannins. Best from 2013 through 2020."
