Bin 128 Coonawarra Shiraz 2010 has a crimson, deep-red core. On the nose, it is delicately scented with fragrances of lavender, rosemary, and rose petal. Also, well-absorbed oak (cedar), and a suggestion of regional artefact — spearmint and blackcurrant pastille. The subtle background scents of fruit mince, sage, and brown butter cautiously seep in to fill any aromatic void. On the palate, it this is a lively wine. Intense, generous and vibrant fruits - with volume! Stewed quince, rhubarb and loquat laced with cocoa, cedary oak. Mouth-coating, ripe tannins augment an even and sweet palate continuum... textured and complete. Structurally, everything in place, in tune.
