Low yields and hand harvesting indicate the care
given to the superior fruit from this single-vineyard winery located on the gravelly slopes of the Maipo Valley. These standards extend to the wine-making process, with meticulous grape selection and aging in French oak barrels for 12 months. Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc this is a complex and velvety wine with a soft structure, spicy tannins, and a fruity finish.
"The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon offers violets, spice
box, and black currant in its expressive nose. Supple,
smooth-textured, and easygoing, this nicely balanced
wine will provide pleasure over the next five years.
The Wine Advocate
"Stylish, with mint and sage notes leading the way for a supple palate of red cherry, black cherry and currant laced with hints of cedar and mineral. Drink now thruogh 2010."
"Fresh red currant and cherry flavors are
light in body and refreshingly tangy, with no
obvious tannins. A bitter chocolate note adds
edge to the tightly focused finish."
